This is another print magazine article I saved from a damaged, worn magazine that although only a one page article is very interesting and full of information and history on another old classic gun. The feature gun in the article is the Valmet Model 76 AK, often considered the Cadillac of Kalashnikov rifles. It was the first civilian AK type rifle imported into the USA and would set the bar for future brands high in terms of quality and features. It was made in Finland from 1976 to 1986. In 1987 Valmet was privatized and merged with SAKO. However in 1989 AK type Valmet models were banned by name from US importation. The rifles have always been popular with shooters and collectors due to their high quality fit and finish, along with their refined features such as night sights and wooden furniture. Two things that have hindered Valmet owners are the lack of spare parts and magazines. The magazines on the .223 caliber and .308 caliber Valmets will not interchange with other AK magazines only the 7.62 X 39 mm does. This ad would be a great gift for oneself or a special someone who owns one of these guns to frame and hang beside it, or put it in a notebook or such for reference, look nice as a decor piece in a gun shop or gunsmiths shop workarea or any other idea you may have for it. It is another article with many possibilities for it or one that is excellent just for the simple purpose it was for in the first place as a learning or reference material that could be placed in a binder or such. It is 10.50" inches X 7.50 inches in size and does come in a plastic sleeve for protection and can be placed in a three ring binder if one desires using it.One day these clippings will be gone. As the print periodicals become more scarce so do the wonderful ads and articles that gave life and color to those remembered times. They help us to recall and document past times. They are living reminders of who we used to be. They give us a snapshot in time of style, beliefs, activities and daily life different from our own. They are excellent for research needs for school or college, for framing to use as Decor in Home, Garage, Bar, Man Cave, Business, or great as Retro decor, Art Decor, Unique Gift, Junk Journals, Scrapbook, Vision Boards etc! Old ads have lots of detailed info about the product to help with research & many are a great substitute for expensive art, adding to your decor and making great conversation pieces. They all ship flat covered with plastic or poly bags in between sheets of flat cardboard covered with tissue paper and then packaged marked with stickers to handle with care.SPECIAL NOTE- I BUY MOST OF MY THINGS SECONDHAND FROM OTHER INDIVIDUALS THAT NO MATTER WHAT THEY MAY TELL ME I CANNOT GUARANTEE YOU THAT THERE HOME WAS SMOKE FREE OR PET/CHILD FREE SO THERE MAYBE AN ODOR THAT YOU NOTICE ON AN ITEM THAT I DID NOT HOWEVER I WASH OR CLEAN ANY ITEMS THAT IT IS POSSIBLE TO DO THIS TO.
